Revised fashion Illustrations

I talked to my client and re-did all of the illustrations with the client suggested changes and here is what I came up with.

Here is the picture with the original shown

I muted toned down the colors, the second work out outfit has a yellow sports bra with a grey baggy tank over the top, short gym shorts in a lighter grey with yellow piping. Shoes were also changed from bright orange to white with grey laces.

This casual outfit had minimal changes. The lace top was brought onto the shoulders and 2 buttons placed in the middle, also the hemline of the lace top was changed. I love the red hot lips, don't you?

Date night look had a few changes, gathered waistband added, converted to a halter top, dropped the scarf and added a chunky necklace. 

Love her makeup, I need to do this to myself next time I go out. 

The illustrations look a lot better in person, but you can get a general idea of the concepts.

Fashion Illustrations

My latest work is drawn for a girl in her early 20's who is active, fun, and dating. These are done in watercolors. 

Fun workout gear

If I had this outfit I would want to work out all the time to just to put it on.

Neon green crop top, hot pink racer-back tank, blue shorts with orange trim, and orange high top tennis.

This is an every day look. 

Burnt orange colored dress with a cropped lace top

Don't forget the accessories; brown pearls, big sunglasses, and gladiator sandals.

Evening/Date Outfit

This stylish and fashion forward hip accentuated peplum dress in blue-violet is going to stun any man! 

Worn with black wedges and coral infinity scarf.

New illustrations

This is inspired by the first dress in the video. It would be a silk charmeuse strapless gown with a gathered bodice and chiffon rosettes around the waist. My scanner cut off the top and bottom of the pic, but there is also a chiffon rosette in her hair to complete the look. I loved how the dress turned out, but not as excited about her face.

This is inspired by the second look in the video. This is a strong outfit. The middle panel is black patent leather, surrounded by grey silk shantung. The silk lets allows more flexibility and movement without taking away the power you get from the leather. Leather boots and my model would have white hair and fair skin.

Fashion Illustration: Library Inspired

Started another semester of Fashion Illustration and hopefully my art will get 1,000 times better. This piece is inspired by the Salt Lake City Public Library. If you have never been there it is a beautiful building in the heart of downtown SLC. It is all glass with glass elevators and glass stairs, little shops on the main floor and books upon books upon books. The people that visit the library are very diverse, there are business men in suits and ties that stop by during lunch break, young kids on a school field trip, many moms with little ones in arms or strollers, college students studying or killing time between classes, and many homeless men finding a bit of tranquility in their unsettling world. The inspiration from the library was vast and many designs came to mind, but I chose to focus on the every day ready-to-wear style. These outfits would be for a younger woman from 20's-40's. This would be an outfit you would put on for a casual day out shopping & returning library books, you could wear this spring and into summer.

I am really impressed with myself, I honestly have not drawn much for about 1 1/2, since my last fashion illustration course. I took the last year and was a sewing mad lady trying to master the sewing machine. I finally have a few months where I can leisurely sew and focus on my art.

Bustle Inspired Illustrations

I did these illustrations for my History of Fashion final project. I love the bustle and find it so interesting what ladies over the many centuries have done for fashion. With big booty's all the rage right now, I thought bringing back some bustle designs would be very fitting.
